First Railway Operating Battalion In Germany 3-14-45. Germany prior to this date, the 723rd ROB entered as a complete battalion. The 723d was originally organized as the 614th Railway Engineer Battalion, an organized Reserve unit, in 1924. In 1933 it was redesignated as the 614th Engineer Battalion. It affiliated with the Union Pacific Railroad Company in 1940. We want to welcome to the 723rd.

The website campclaiborne.com had the following in the web page, "Was located just north of the town of Forest Hill, Louisiana on state highway 165." I analyzed that the webpage stated " Built in 1940, Camp Claiborne was home to the largest wargames in American history, the Louisiana Maneuvers in 1941 and was the birthplace of the much storied and celebrated 82nd and 101st airborne divisions." They also stated " Nature has reclaimed most of Camp Claiborne and all that remain are concrete pilings, foundations, a few small concrete buildings and some of the camp roads. This site remembers the Camp, its people and its stories." The meta header had Camp Claiborne as the first search term. This keyword was followed by Camp Claiborne, LA, and camp claiborne la which isn't as important as Camp Claiborne. The other words they used was 112 and 165.
